IPdragnet™: User Installation Instructions
System Requirements:
- Windows 2000 SP3, Windows XP Pro/Home, Windows Vista
- Microsoft SQL Server/SQL Server Express 2005
- 300 MHz or higher processor
- 256 MB of RAM or higher recommended
- 300 MB of available hard disk space (~25 MB for application files and ~275 MB for database and image files)
- Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
- Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
How to Install the IPdragnet™ Program:
Run the “IPdragnetSetup.exe” file on every workstation or on a server (this will install the report files, help, program files, etc. locally) and follow the on-screen instructions. If at anytime time you require technical support, please call 866-578-7790 x1.
How to install the IPdragnet™ database (Using Microsoft SQL Server)
NOTE: Before continuing, make certain that Microsoft SQL Server/SQL Server Express is properly installed. In order to continue you must have SQL Server installed on your system. If you do not already have Microsoft SQL Server installed, you may download a FREE "SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services SP2" license directly from Microsoft at the following websites:

- Click START – PROGRAMS – IPDRAGNET – IPDRAGNET ADMIN to launch the administrator tool.
- Type in your database server name, username, and password into the appropriate boxes in order to connect to your server.
- Check the appropriate authentication mode (normally ‘SQL’) and click the CONNECT button:
- Click the “Create IPdragnet Database” button, type in your company name, then click the CREATE button.
- After receiving the confirmation message that the database has been created successfully, click the CLOSE button and then the DISCONNECT button.
- Run the IPdragnet™ software. On the “Database Connection Settings” form (which only appears the first time the program is run), click on the “SQL Server” tab and enter the appropriate values in each of the fields, then click OK to save these settings.
In the “Path to common files…” field, browse to a shared folder either on your network or in the application folder where supplemental files can be accessed and shared.
How to Uninstall the IPdragnet™ Program:
- From your Windows taskbar click START – CONTROL PANEL – ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
- From the program list highlight “IPdragnet” and click the Change/Remove button.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the uninstall process.
